Trained fieldworkers start collecting life stories of refugees in 4 EU cities from April 2018

For Specially Unknown EU, a team of 26 special persons have been trained as Oral History interviewers (fieldworkers). They all have in common that they are committed to enriching European cultural heritage. In the past four months, they have followed a training on oral history, migration history in their cities, interview and camera techniques.

From April to December 2018 they will collect 160 individual life stories that put (ex)refugees, their qualities and cultural contributions to the four EU cities (Antwerp, Bochum, Paris and Turin) in the spotlight. These stories will make them visible and part of European cultural heritage.

For more information and an overview of the fieldworkers, the selected communities and the local Specially Unknown project teams see the individual city pages on the homepage.
