VLC player

Use the VLC player with codecs if the videoplayer in Subtitle Edit does not function.

Download the 32-bits version:

https://get.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.6/win32/vlc-2.2.6-win32.exe

If you have a 64-bits computer you are obliged to use the 64-bits version of VLC-player:

https://get.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.6/win64/vlc-2.2.6-win64.exe

Make sure you install the program as Administrator

Right click the icon to use the option install as Administrator

Don’t forget to restart your computer after installing VLC media player

In Subtitle Edit go to:

Options – Settings …

Set the Video player to VLC media player

If the video still is not showing, you have to install LAVFilters
