The Infection

Many friends of Espérer have reported the monologue of the infection to us.
Since the theaters are closed in Italy, this piece is subtitled for all of us.
Seems appropriate, doesn’t it? 🎈

“This piece, on paper, was born between 2002 and 2003, on the occasion of another aspiring epidemic: severe acute respiratory syndrome, known as SARS.
I wrote it while I was working with Roberto Tessari at ReMiseriaRe, these were days when we talked about sanitary cords and “umbilical cords” and commented on Albert Camus, Antonin Artaud and the theater of cruelty.
Today it is part of the narration “The Imaginific story of Espérer”, which I hope is to return soon, to tell together with Laura, Mico and Maurizio “.
